We are well aware that PST is the default file extension for storing MS Outlook mailbox data. This file format is exclusive to Outlook and cannot be accessed in any other application. Hence, converting the PST file to a more popular and compatible file format (TXT, VCF, RTF, HTML, MSG, EML, MHT) is a safe option to opt for in order to facilitate easy access of Outlook mailbox data in different applications.
The conversion tool allows you to export the entire PST file data items including email messages, contacts, calendar events, notes, tasks, etc. to a number of different file formats.
Select 'Add Configured Mailboxes' option to select one of the configured mailboxes from the list. Use 'Select & Add Other PST File' to directly select the PST to be converted.
The tool will list all the items in the selected Outlook mailbox. Now, you can export selective item folders from the PST file by checking or unchecking the folders accordingly.
Once you select the file format to export the PST file items, Outlook Conversion Software will create all the folders at the destination location and save the data into the respective folders.
It facilitates conversion of PST file into multiple file formats. In order to save Outlook text messages, choose from TXT, RTF, HTML, MSG, EML formats and select VCF to save contacts.
There will be no changes made to original formatting of data during conversion. The tool maintains the data integrity and keeps the Meta data (To, Cc, Sent date, Received date) intact.
You can analyze the authenticity and performance of this tool by downloading its Demo Version available for free on the official website. However, the Demo Version has a certain limitation. It allows you to convert only the first 15 emails in PST file to any of the desired formats.
In order to avoid performance related issues in Outlook due to huge amount of emails, I decided to backup my Outlook emails into a convenient file format for easy access. The difficulty that I was facing in doing the same turned into a great relief using Outlook Conversion Tool. It provided me a list of formats to choose from. — Janet James, Atlanta
